Self employed payment

Yes, quite right.

I was reading yesterday that they've identified more than 30 mutations of Covid-19 now. So it's looking less likely that a vaccine will be found as it's like the common cold or flu where a vaccine will help with some/most but now all variants.

Looking more and more like it's going to be one of those 'learn to live with it' things.
Like aids protect your self whith a condom. Stick it over your head might keep people quiet for while bliss on earth lol

Who ever that postman bloke on about 3 months ago. He was going on about things to much but he wasn't far off from the truth got give him that. He must of being one of the undercover scincetis warning us to warn other people lol

The government did ok , a balanced approach
The care home sector has been exposed for a lack of management hygiene which I put down to individual homes ( some got away with it by luck ) , it is their specialist subject but they didn't take responsibility for an independent early total lockdown
Money is tight in that sector and the compromise is always between living in a home or a sterile unit
My partner is manager of a nursing home. She locked it down 3 weeks before the lockdown. Ordered all staff to get others to shop for them, change clothes etc. Spent thousands on PPE. All residents confined to rooms, kitchen staff have no contact with care staff. The home is one of only 6 in the county to have no cases of Covid. She’s not accepting new residents from anywhere at the moment. Plus all staff have had a bonus this month.

the hospitals needed to free up 90k bed for patients and the government sent elderly people back to care homes without testing them for covid. They even sent some back that had tested postive. How is that the care homes support ??

my Nan is in a care home she has copd and they’ve thankfully not had one case.

so to blame care homes is a bit harsh, they were sent the patients back to free up beds.
One local home has had 15 people die because they accepted one resident from the main hospital.

That martin lewis doubts self employed will get it extended payments.
This is the prob
NHS/care staff etc working flat out obviously getting paid. And rightly so for the risks they take.

Then theres a load of workers in full or 80% pay snoozing (I mean working from home) in no rush to get back.

Teachers on full pay dont wanna go back till sept that's a given....mates a deputy head. Does a bit of admin 8/11 each day. On full pay

Self employed getting no further helps as this rolls on by the looks of it

Then there is the poor souls who have lost jobs/ business or will do when furlough ends.

Prob is the comfy sector on full pay at home will be the large proportion of the workforce and unionized so protected. They will spoil the economy for everyone else by getting used to the nice lifestyle and fighting tooth and nail to return back..

Why cant someone like teachers be on 80% or even less....as there certainly not doing usual workloads ...everyone needs to feel the pain a bit to get it all back working

A lot of businesses running full throttle with half the staff and all working from home, going to be a lot getting the bullet after this, and a lot of offices going to be to up for sale or rent.
