If the economy doesn't start off slowly Monday. I've only got one word to say this country fuked. People will be out of work not spending ther money little shops and pubs are fuked after June trade men are going back to 100 pound a day if your lucky! Y are some people so negative to kick things off slowly whith the econmy. OK I know ther worried about a second peak. And sadly people are going to die of this horrible virus but life is cruel that y 10million die of cancer a year. Senseble debate like adult not children.

I went collecting materials yesterday in preparation for working again, when was out I felt totally different about everything than when was sitting at home , we all need to be back in the flow and sure it will come good for us mate

If what I’m hearing about gyms is right and they can’t open until October I can see a lot of them going under. The ground rent on some of these places is huge. October!!! They’ll never last that long.
Hope so! I get the impression that some people on full pay don't whant move off ther arse in Wales 1000 have died of covid19 population of 3.5million. In North Wales about 180 have died. This virus has being here since December I'd say so! to me 180 seems very low for a population of 600 hundred thousand to think it being here 5 6 month in North Wales. but people still whant stay in heavy regulation lock down

I've had a few customers try the old 'I've got to be careful with the budget with all the uncertainty' reworded it says 'I want to get the work done now as I'm hoping to get a discount because of these uncertain times and you are probably desperate for the work'.
Do we reduce our prices? Do we f**k...I've been going in higher. Nothing to lose at the moment anyway with the grant.

Yep f**k prices getting under cut,there can f**k right off..with lower prices comes shitter work,I dont care anymore I'm a very good spread with nothing to prove,countless contacts so there pay me what im worth,even if it means working just a few months this year,il guarantee you I ain't working for £100 a day,if you do your just a cog in the system in pushing prices down,defo something more to it.like I said b4 my best mates mrs works on a corona ward and she felt under weather 4 a week now shes fine,didnt pass anything to my mate or there 2 kids if its that contagious surely there would of got the f**k*r!

Yes , refurb reskim sub from builder and privates , they get an honest experienced worker for a decent price , if that's not good enough why would I work for them , I'd earn more for site skimming , I love plastering and ain't gonna loose that because of people who want to play games

I think opposite tbh,sites are massively behind and there was anyway the amount of new builds that will have to be churned out in nxt 2 years will be off the scale,only problem is the contractors will be licking there lips and taking advantage,even tho contracts were signed pre pandemic there will still try it on,but il also try it on with my finish.2 can play that game

Builder i know,had 4 extensions and a new build booked in to go
2 cancelled last week until they see their how this goes.
History in recessions tell us new builds will pull back, ive not read anything in construction news that says this will not happen,considering this is the deepest recession in history. Though the do expect a bounce back next year.
New builds are demand driven and they will be affected like the last recession ,how bad will only become apparent in the months ahead.
