No mate work for myself . As mentioned before I a good rep especially for artex ceilings so do at least 2 a week usually plus everything else

@zombie it’s not anything to do with bein an expert or artex ceilings. Covering artex is just one of the things I do. Like a lot of spreads
When all the site monkeys get snagged off site and hit domestic and tell mrs’s Jones all the coving must come down, which means more work to patch tops of walls. Ceiling need over board cause it artex
Mrs Jones then calls a spread who knows what he doing like me and asks for a second opinion.
No you don’t need to overboard it mrs Jones. No coving doesn’t need to come down, and thus walls won’t need to be touched . I’ll start at 0730 and be gone by 12 and you’ll have a lovely flat smooth ceiling
Mrs Jones then tells her friends she knows a proper plasterer and the rest is history

On my advertising I used to put ceiling replacement specialist, used to get me great jobs boarding and skimming ceilings for top dollar. Loads of insurance work as well.

What you’ve got to consider @zombie is your already aching. You only work for builders and the reason they keep you busy is because you work 7 days a week like a mug for them.
1 day you’ll man up and tell em f**k off not working Sunday’s then they will replace you.
Or your legs will give way and they’ll replace you.
And nobody will know who you are so you won’t have any work. I do the s**t I do like cover artex call it whatever it works. Loads of work . Excellent reputation. I’ll never be out of work and don’t rely on greedy builders

Mate you aint got a F*****g clue about me my comment was a bit of fun but if you wanna go there here goes.
Point 1 - give me a bloody nose, you realy realy dont wanna go there son!
Point 2 - all my work is my own, yes it does include some builders, developers, kitchen firm, damp firm, conny firm, insurane firm and domestic aswell.
Point 3 - i do all aspects of external rendering, floor screeding, damp work internal membranes sump & pump work, all aspects internal.
Point 4 - i keep myself and 2 other spreads busy 12 months a year.
Point 5 - it realy isnt difficult to overskim a artex ceiling trust me its nothing special and i also would judge it on its merrit that said just skimming a ceiling because its easier instead of overboarding is unproffesional.
Owt else yer cocky t**t!!!!

That choice is mine nobody elses.
Like said i keep myself and 2 other lads ticking over and at times like at the miment we have all been doing 7 days a week.
The reason being is that we are known for doing a good job and have a broad skillset which is in demand.
If that makes us mugs then so be it other peopke might consider it succesful!.
We could do your weeks work on a saturday morning pal!

Anybody that cant 1 coat skim plasterboard to a good standard is clueless.
Go in a plot with @algeeman for a day it may change your mind!
I use more different plastering & rendering products in a month than you will use in a lifetime!
You skim a few walls pal here and there thats it you aint nothing special pal trust me!
