How much to do the gold trowel

Sleeping in a van, in a lay by, in January sat drinking beer in the dark....surely im living the dream....thought you was a rough arsed bunch.

I slept in a Sno-Cat for a few weeks in Cambridge some years ago.

Anyway, in answer to your original question, google truck stops near where you are going to be. They have facilities (cafe, showers, prostitutes etc.) and they're cheap safe overnight parking where it's OK to sleep overnight without getting the babylon banging on the window.

Ooooooh prostitutes...my wife will be happy:sorprendido3:

Hi zombie I appreciate the advice but ive made my mind up on the route im going and while hard work plastering has low set up costs and low material costs therefore good profits......there will always be people who end up unhappy in a job doesnt mean the jobs bad maybe just time for a change.....in another 15 years when im ready for a change again ill hopefully have a few more rentals and just be able to ease off. As I go on id like to branch out a bit too, must have fit around 20 bathrooms and kitchens over the last few years with a few for happy customers so wont be pigeon holed to just spreading every day with a bit of luck.

wish you all the luck in the world fella...just remember though its the fact that is a cheap set up and material costs and no real need for paperwork that makes it a low paid trade in comparison to others...

good luck pal

You do the beach race? I've never got meself down there personally! Would be a struggle on 125 I imagine

125 is perfect 450s are to heavy and you can't throw them around as much! Not as good as it used to be though!!! [emoji58]

They made it to safe [emoji28][emoji28]

There used to be a truck stop 5mins from me but it closed, so they all park in the laybys on the dual carriageway outside where it used to be, prozzies out there morning & night :sisi:

I just need a truck now :bananas:

Of you're sleeping in a van in January you're gonna need a brass to keep you warm.
Whats a brass? I done a lot of night fishing in winter so got some good gear, 5 seasons sleeping bag, thermal clothes etc

Also got a taser so pity the person who tries to break in the van while im sleeping.

Im sure you can get a hostel cheaper.......if you get caught in yer car half cut your gonna say goodbye to your plastering career.

You could end up loosing your licence.

As long as the back of the van is fully blocked off from the seats and keys arent in the ignition they cant do you.

You have to be careful in Hostels. When we stayed in one @Nisus had to sleep with both eyes open for fear of Mancunian penetration. Apparently I slept like a (snoring) baby. :D
