Been seeing this for years amongst lads I work with (in construction) my wife is the main bread winner, that's why I do a lot of the dropping off and picking up.
Construction tradesmen s rates fallen far in the recession and still not fully recovered while everyone else has moved on or not suffered the same fall initially.
Site managers look at you funny when you say I'm half day Monday and you can't be there when he says.

Well they want the cheapest prices so its to be expected that soon more and more take time to do house husbanding duties
 
My Mrs is my partner in business, she deals with customers, accounts, payments, wages , ordering etc. She does a couple of days a week all told, pays herself +30k and has a nice company car to swan about in. I'd swap roles tomorrow if I could.

My wife's a head teacher at a primary school. I've no idea how much she earns.
