Hello everybody,

I have done a few sites for people over the last few months and I have been doing them very cheap I am now only leaving this price on the table for the next 4 people. The reason I am doing this is so that firstly you guys get a great site designed and optimised for the search engines and at a good price but also because from January things will get complicated....will explain my plans soon.

So what it is I offer....

website design and hosting for 2 years I will also register a .co.uk domain included iun the the price!

The price is £350

This is mega cheap... in fact its silly! However I am a packpacker the money helps pay for the forum and keeps me from getting a crappy bar job.

So thats it £350 for a website thats all you pay for 2 years!!

have you built many sites for the lads here yet as out of all the users here there is only about 50 at the most have sites?

I allready have a website, but to those on here who are thinking of getting one it'd be a pretty safe bet letting Danny do it as he canot afford to look bad infront of the 1000+ members of this site.

If you go to some other comapany they can cock it up and you cant show them up in front of anyone.

Websites DO bring in plenty of work, they are a bit like mobile phones, at first only a few people had them but now EVERYBODY has them.

I predict in 10 years time there wont be a paper yellow pages anymore or thomson local etc, it'll all be on the interweb
 
what sort of running cost is it after the 2 years. really interested need to start taking the camera to work lol. can you pm me with the info you would need from me to set up. cheers ben

I will check with owners of the sites first before I will post a link.

After 2 years you will have domain renawal which is about £10 for the 2 years and hosting normall hosting is about £5 a month however in the 2 years I cannot say what it will be maybe less or maybe more but its not going to be much. And then if you want anything else doing...

www.mkmot.com is another one I did for a company with the content they gave me and the logo.

With logos unless you have one already you want me to use I tend to get them made by a designer which costs me but I just take that out of the £250

All I need is the content you want on teh site so an about you page and the servises you offer and photos of work you have done... this is the bread and butter of the site a photo is worth a 1000 words

I will keep tweaking a site till your happy changing it till you like it whatever it takes but also being a spread I can see what it needs to say

I would like to think I am reliable I have had this forum for over 2 years now and have also done plastering jobs for people on here (I hope I am respected on here just a little....lol)

Also my site www.dvcplastering.co.uk I designed this while very drunk 2 christmases ago it ranks so well in google and I have not touched it the only changes I have had to make changes due to me not actually plastering any more
 
Well that has got people talking... I build my own sites (not up to Danny's standard) but they do for me... danny knows what he is talking about... where google rankings are concerned as it has taken me ages to get to where i am with particular search terms... however i overcome this and use google adwords for specific advertising gauranteeing me front page slot.
I have about 30 sites myself but just did this as a hobby... i had a right laugh about 8 years ago though... i bought and registered http://www.slimfaster.com and set a slimming resale site up selling nutrients on commission... anyway the people who own SLIMFAST foods were going to sue me for everything i owned including the house cars, van etc etc as they said i was cyber squatting but to my knowledge i just bought the name and played with it.... anyway the attourney from the US contacted me and we had a few words and decided to save on the legal costs of taking me to court they just bought the domain from me... just as well as i couldnt fight unilever foods... they are worth billions... PS i got £1,700.00 for the domain name ;)

I have had friends have sites taken from them by big companies ... lively hoods lost!! I dont do brand names any more I used to make good money from it in the past but it was always short lived and I dont beleive buildinga business on dondgy foundations....lol

The plastering industry is relativly easy to get to the top I never pay for advertising and with adwords it can really cost you a lot of £££ if you get it wrong.

What software do you all use

I got dreamweaver and bought loads on books on how to use it

Still make templates that look a bit crap! ???
 
I use all sorts but even with the best templates you could still struggle to get things the way you want them.

Dreamweaver is good for editing code and finding error ect but thats about it.

I got my first job from having a website today. They said that out of the sites they looked at it was the most professional and liked the grammar! They went on to say that most of the others couldnt even string a sentence together.
Danny did my site so I would advise any one to get one.

Anybody wants to see what I am capable off then just ask on here....

I like to keep it simple but professional....

My own website is getting me around 3 jobs a week... I took a call today about rendering an eco house today that is underground and has a grass roof...

PS these sites are cheap, in fact too cheap/ I will be increasing my price soon as there is a lot of work that goes into them
 
? come on lets see this fantasic site! nah id like to have a look see, im always playin around with mine be gd 2 see what some1 else has done
