My ss eventually wear in the ways if used skimming, likely just the way the pressure is put on it to trowel up. Shouldn't be that bad in l that time though really...

No it lays on flat but the toe drags sometimesCall me paranoid but is also find I can't lay gear on flat as soon as I notice without leaving deep lines etc!

The middle of the blade has more abrasive pressure from laying on , aluminium or poly HAWK is too soft to have much effect ,
