Just wet the trowel and rub it with a bit of lightweight breeze block mate.

How is that part of the blade toucing the wall or was you playing sticky trowel. Just cross fook out of a dry wall

The middle of the trowel should be fine... it's the edges that need to be smooth....

As mentioned by others.... wet and dry will do that for you
