tips on curved ceilings

Only ever used a brush but I recently saw a curve under the stairs done with a sponge and it came out perfect so might give that a whirl.

They are very difficult to do watch out , if you are talking about the type of ceiling I'm thinking about ? the type which runs into a picture rail ?? putting the ceiling on is the easy part , troweling it up is where you can get into trouble , my tips are , firstly control the suction make sure you give yourself time to work on it , if the ceiling is any real size , say over 3m x 3m get another spread in just to trowel the flat part of the ceiling while one concentrates on the curves ;) tool wise get everything at your disposal ;)also plastic store/ credit type cards cut to a angle we help in the corners plus a well worn in narrow skimming trowel will help .

The cove part I don't mind doin, it's the internal angle that goes into the ceiling that always gets me. Usually I get it somewhere near then sponge. I thought there might of been a tool on the market for these but ain't found nothing yet

Use a busk or small tool for internal angle, you may have to customise it to suit the profile,eg cut one of the edges off .

They aint that tough to do ,bring another spread if your not confident enough and let him do the flat part and you do the curves. If it isnt that big you wont need anyone else,if you do ",Hueston we have a problem"

no your right there not hard to do ,but there hard to do properly

Youve gotta give it time to tighten up otherwise you end up digging in.Use angle trowel and a small tool ,and be patient,it will come around and you will surprise yourself.
