Random thought I use bonding and multi mixed together a lot after PVA walls over heavy artex and general refurb work for a 1st coat then top up with multi to finish.
Got a horrible stairs next week which is painted artex that i just want to get in and smash it out and foookin off...
has anyone just put near bonding straight onto artex without using PVA first I know by spec I think your suppose to PVA but do you in the real world wouldn't imagine it would fail or would it?
I do things everyday if I'm honest that are short cuts providing doesn't compromise the finished product?
I'm thinking bonding 1st coat sponge float the c**t and top and fook off sharpish rather than loose a day pvaing and waiting for it to dry etc
Thoughts?
