Tanking a lime plastered cellar

Hi,

Im trying to make a Georgian cellar dry enough for storage.
The cellar has no visible water ingress but is damp. The walls are plastered with thick lime plaster which is still intact.

I'm considering using MGN Rinzoffo, but have heard that claims may be dubious. I'm also reluctant to rip out the existing solid lime plaster and would prefer to tank over it if possible?

Would an internal stud wall with membrane help?

Thanks for any advice?

Thanks bobski.
I'm rethinking the MGN approach as the products are super expensive.

Ventilation is ok...two window vents and a poorly fitting door .

I'm not wedded to the lime plaster as it may need to come off for a good key.

Cheers.
