Hello,
I recently had professional traditional lime plastering in a small bathroom (over brick in a listed building), with the two walls that would be exposed to water left as a keyed scratch coat thinking I'd add tiles. I'm now fairly confused as to what to put behind the tiles to fully waterproof and whether maintaining some sort of breathability is desirable rather than sealing everything up like a lot of the membrane/tanking solutions would do.
There is another option of leaving it with some sort of plaster finish coat, this one claiming to be waterproof but possibly a bit sketchy:

I've also considered Marmox board but this seems to fully defeat the purpose of there being lime at all.
Any pointers appreciated!
