shower cubical

hi lads ive got a shower cubical, took all the tiles and plasterboard off about a meter high. one on the walls is studded so i will use aqua panel the other is bare brick, will it be ok to fix aqua panel straight to the brick or should i dot and dab with normal plasterboard and use waterproof tile adhesive???

I have dabbed them before a few times. None of them have fell off!!!
