Most don't or can't do site work so if only doing domestic jan is normally quiet also

Thats very true Orangeman normally have inside work dfor this time of year but at the moment have none

2 of my uncles worked with lime they stopped work from christmas to easter temp to low. that is the reason cement took the place of lime so that the workforce could have full time work and not looked upon as causal labour.

Cement doesnt breathe so cannot be used on historic, listed buildings or cob buildings or any old property that doesnt have a cavity

I do a far bit of lime work
Saying that I still put sand & cement over stonework no problem
