would you straighten your scratch coat for rendering a house. Not many do it but if it was your own house would you

All my jobs are hacking off old and replace, everything is mashed up when stripped so I try to straighten up as much as possible if doing scratch

I dream of new blocks

I always try and get things as straight as I can as I go so that the end result is better, or at least has a chance :D

Just drag the rule over it or Darby it. I always imagine I'm going to do that but just scratch it with little interest or motivation.
More important to get the additives right and worry about that more

God, some head shaker replies on here , I always rule my scratch coat ,check it for plumb also , I use a metal edge ,

my old gaffer would be cursing you lot who use a speedskim or a darby ....I remember the days that if you used a darby you were a rough c@nt ...but times have changed to adjust our lifestyles....like an EARLY FINISH..

F*uckin hate waterproofer in scratch. Waterproofer in finish with a small bit of lime to help bring up the fat for floating.
