SBR on celcons

Didn't have any PVA on the van so I rolled neat SBR onto some celcons. Usually in this heat the celcons pull the hardwall in quick and its a bitch to skim but this held it back well. It was like floating over concrete blocks. Happy days

I make sure joints are raked back a bit for key when laid if possible on new thermalite blocks , then mix sbr with bit of cement then soak wall before scudding mixture on,
It slows up the suction enough to get a good scratch coat over it , any better ways you do it ?

Mix sbr with water 1:3 and just roll it on. Happy days

Can sbr be used outside on block? Or is external pva just as good?
