Rusty trowel

Any tips on keeping steel trowel in good nick and not rusting overnight

spray wd40 on it and rub it down after use

Soak a rag in WD40 or engine oil and wrap the trowel in that at then end of the day....

Also I think lime stops rust.... some of the old timers will confirm or deny that....

Degrease the trowel and stand in vinegar, its called a forced patina, goes black like Gibbos above once black it will stop oxidising / no more rust.

Same as gary, let it rust real bad then give it a scrape and a bit of sand paper and it'll never rust again. Mines clean grand but that's ridiculous
