Hello,

What type of float do you all use to rub up flat render???
I use a Plastic cross grain float but it seems to draw a lot of water out which makes rubbing up difficult??
I have just purchased a marshalltown wooden float will this be any better???

After I have floated and fill and hollows I rub with a sponge to achive a good finish.

Any sugestion would be helpful

Many thanks

I use my sponge float 1st then wooden float then a damp sponge this works perfect for cpi cause I don't use s-c anymore to much crap in the sand in my area

New floats are never easy to use straight out the box , they have got to be worn in , and you might find a poly float works better (emir)

first trowel filling dips then let it go 45mins or so then spong up the wall i use jumbo car spunges with a bucket of cleen water
