Use thin coat over the top. You would have to do the whole job though obviously as it won’t match.

Yes numpties will be attempting these ‘new renders’ (even though they’ve been about over 20 years, I was fixing Ewi and applying scratch renders In the 90s) but it’s more work all round, rectifying them once done.
