Good afternoon all
Was wondering if someone could tell me if you Pva a wall with neat Pva will it cause problems when plastering or should it always be watered down?
Did a small wall recently and some of the plaster lifted and crazed in places.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Cheers Nigel

depends on the PVA, if its cheap stuff just bag it on neat if its decent water it down to the ratio it states on t

If you use it neat it drys on top of the surface. By watering it down it soaks in giving better adhesion.

Thanks for your replies it's only cheap stuff but will water it down just thought putting it on neat would seal the wall better.

Not if I use thistle unifinish plaster which needs no preparation on painted surfaces but on bare plaster it would.
Your best bet is to pva the whole wall and skim with multi finish.
