Just a thought.When taking a shower should I also run the wash basin tap to see if that helps with the dry trap theory

try what i said first. Sink will get used more than bath so your always putting water in the trap.

Just rejigged all the toilet and shower wastes on 2 bathrooms on job I'm on. Hopefully that will work out ok as its all covered up now

I know exactly what the problem is fella had to sort it my sisters bathroom with the same problem just use bonding coat plaster
