Plastering courses???

Many years ago they were all the rage and everywhere you went they were in your face but the last few years it all seems a bit too quiet?

Don't even hear of people doing them now?

Times changing that the next generation are not interested in grafting?

Everybody wants to be a. Influence for sure.... But I still think you need a skill/trade for when your 15 minutes of fame is up.

Listening to Fix radio and also after reading some numbers in uptakes.

70,000 short on sparkies coming through.
Way too low to keep up with the demand.
Home charger points etc for cars on the increase too.
And the colleges are mostly packed with sparkies and plumbers. 16 year olds are choosing these predominantly.

Carpentry next.
Then brickies.

Then plastering.

In another few years, there will be a massive pressure on these bottom (listed) trades above.

The demand will be ridiculous.

Depending on how it goes you could be earning an absolute fortune if these trades are that scarce, if they stay that way.

That said, people 30 years and above will possibly have to retrain in a trade because their job roles are being replaced with AI.

But as you said, nobody wants to graft now. All easy touches.

Everybody wants to be an electrician....

I know so many but none want to work for misses jones...

My little boy will have skills but I doubt he will make his way in a trade... Even at 5 years old he has that hunger for pocket money and has already grasped the value of money,my 8 year old daughter is the exact opposite....

Sparkies for me is not a craft.. but a learned skill... Plastering, bricklaying stone masons are crafts... Some people have it and others don't...

Lots of stuff online as well now though.

For multi traders who have a decent enough brain, they can probably glean enough to tackle small skimming jobs etc.
