I say customized, I basically cut a 1200 down to 950, key to it is having the pole attachment fixed dead dead centre (mine is permanently screwed on)
Love a modded tool. I like the idea of screwing the pole attachment in, I'll try that as mine slides

Why did you cut one to 950
I didn't get on with the 1200 and found the 600 a bit too small, 950 felt like a happy medium. I think it boils down to your own style and physicality. I'm tempted to go to 1050 . I'm just waiting to see if @Bryan from @wanstapshap will be releasing anything new.

Why didnt ye just buy a 900

I have used the speedy’s right through a ceiling set. Put it on with a trowel neatly ( goes without saying, unless you’re a lash up artist). Plastic speedy on the pole for a gentle flatten, I rounded my corners with snips and I seldom get a line at all. Tea. Second coat. More tea. Another flatten, neaten edges with a trowel and brush. Tea. One more pass with plastic speedy. Clean up. Tea. On with the metal edged speedy, pass both ways, check edges again. Finished in time for tea.
As for pressure, you can definitely put more pressure through the pole using two arms and with both feet on the floor. But you don’t have to.
You do like your tea ☕☕☕

I need a tool shopping spree. Got loads I need to replace.

By the by, I was working with a joiner the other week and he said he’d give me his 25year old estwing hammer. I got so excited and then he couldn’t find it

How you getting on with now @John j

Took these pictures was thinking about you saying about lines this one is my main go too , the blade is roughly three years old , on the corners or edges it’s kind off worn in itself if you look , I do believe they getting better with time as they wear in which might sound stupid with a plastic blade but they do
I have a 900 that is about a year old it’s still reasonably new ( about a year) it’s not as wore and will normally only use the 900 for one flatten then swap back to this 600 which is my number one
