Overboarding ceiling that isn't going well need advice

Currently overboarding a ceiling for the first time and to be honest I've made a right hash of it. But I love diy and wanted to try although I completely respect that it was never going to be 100% simple for a first timer on their own. Done a few boards on my own then some with help and I've encountered some issues..

Main issues are broken corners of the board in a couple places and some gaps in places too. I was thinking of removing the paper and broken plasterboard in areas that need it and just bond those areas in before skimming over. Few pics so you know what I mean. Will cutting out sections tjay have broke and bonding taping and skimming be ok. Or will it be crack central afterwards?

Love the banter on here knew I was getting a ripped a new one :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. I know it's proper s**t and was half debating ripping it down and getting someone in with half an idea. So would you not bother cutting out the sections that have cracked/blown? Surely not a good idea to skim onto loose board.
 
What seemed to screw me is working off a wall, the wall clearly isn't straight hence why the boards are not meeting nicely. Rookie mistake I guess.

Should start from centre idealy at side of light fitting and work out then your boards sit straight and if needed scribe the board edge that meets the walls to suit.

You will use more boards sometimes this way but far better method.

Don't blame you, some prick thinking they can do what you do day in day out easily. Difference is I don't think it's easy and I completely respect any trade and know that you are very skilled at what you do. But I do really enjoy doing it though and like learning, plus it's refreshing change from my job.

Also I have had I issues with people letting me down or doing an even shitter job. In my last house plasterer advised me I needed to rip down my batten it out and reboard as there was a slight (and I mean slight) dip where a joist was sitting a 2mm ish lower. He done the work and made an absolute hash of it, plaster snots everywhere tiger stripes, pb without any skim on, cracks etc.. all for a grand (including walls). Came back and filled all the imperfections with easifill. Oh and to top it off left us to sand it down.
