If your buying it off your mate he'll tell you if its a good one or not, failing that then why not a T4 Transporter supposed to be very good !!??

Rich
I had a T4 before my Sportline. It was a 2.5 TDi 102hp. Fast and 40mpg. Get 8x4's in no problem too.

Second that with the T4 Cracking vans converted mine so no good for carrying the 8x4s ;D

Got a t5 for work and would also reccomend just mine has had new gear box clutch and fly wheel under warrenty before i bought it its now done 90k so be care full on buying second hand or buy one with the early mile faults fixed.

Infact T4s are a far better van

Also got this get a few strange looks if i turn up to price jobs in it ;D

A mate of mine a mechanic reckons you ll get about 500,000 miles out of a merc vito

My brothers got a vito,x plate done 120000 no probs, you can just get 8+4 boards in corner to corner if you get my drift.

Its funny isnt it I wanted a vito but so many people say they are to unreliable so I didnt bother but everyone who I have asked who owns one say there great !!!

I think the mechanics are ok. They just rust like f***
And the new ones look a bit feminine.
Alright if you're a florist.

Yeah split screen panel 1962 prices range from 4k ish for a shead to anything up to 60k for a samba or barndoor
thats worth around 12k. finding a decent commercial van over 40 years old is hard you just have to look at some of the 2yr old vans that come up for sale that are used for work
