Borrowed a ritmo m off mr blones for a trial last week. Have to say what a competent little pump it is. Sprayed mono plugged into customers hallway socket with 15m of pipe on. Didn't grumble at all and sprayed perfectly. The pumping rate was plenty on a domestic job....tbh I prefer a bit more control on private jobs. I got it on and off the van on my own without a ballbag rupture too. Took no time to set up, didn bother with water pump and no screaming genny guzzling fuel. For me it's just what I need, a one man mixing pump that'll do mono and texturing/thincoats all plugged in to a socket using customers power. Did consider a ritmo L but with 25kg or so more weight, £750 quid more and the fact that it only pumps 5m further but not quicker, for me the M wins the day. Got the umpalumpas at Pft germany assembling one for delivery ASAP. Can't wait woo hoo

Yes nick hows it living with a bigger machine? Wish I'd bought one last time round instead of the Xl. Don't get me wrong that was a good machine but more suited to a 3 man gang pumping at full pelt. When it's just you and a boy breaking bags the smaller machine's all you need. To do away with the genny is quite liberating and much less stressful(it's quiet!). I used to think 1.5kw of power was pants but now that I've used it I'm converted!

yeah its alright. just dont like moving it about. but the output is nice. but i miss the ritmo for smaller bits and like you say no genny.

Fair play goody, did you get what you wanted for the xl? It looked immaculate. I'm waiting on my ritmo too. Les can now supply seriously cheap gennys for them now, prob around 50% less than what you would normally find.

"Umpalumpas at PFT Germany...." Love it! LOL
Spent some time with Mr Blones myself yesterday..... got to say that all the UK PFT guys really know their stuff! just a shame that not everyone listens to them and uses them when they should.........
seems to me that getting a machine is a great move (if you have the money and work for it), but you need to understand which machine for your needs and then get to know the machine.... Oh, and look after it!
Good luck with your new machines guys - let everyone know how you get on!

Met the lad that bought your xl at wallcrete in Manchester tother day, nice bloke, he bringing the xl up to a little mono job we got in Chorley in a couple of weeks, should be interesting

Yes he is a nice chap, 3 of them. The Xl is a good all round machine for him with the manpower to keep up with it. With me tho I'm often on my own or with a lab so the smaller machine made more sense to lug about and the slower pump speed is enough for what I need.
Its 240 spunk. Mains power down from 3 phase was enough of a step.

Will try and get some footage up of what the M can do when it arrives. Got straight mono and spray texture(mono) to get it warmed up with.

What make genny are they for 500 notes then grump?

I don't know yet, we only had a quick conversation at 5pm yesterday and most of that was about my old pump. Pm technoman, failing that il let you know toward the end of next week. Hope that helps.

Yeah mate, I spoke to him just over a week ago. He's got some flats on and loft conversions but won't use the ritmo, when I ask why he says it's to awkward and messy, reckons its easier to handball it on. He had five flats to do and didn't use the ritmo, fkin mental. He's only 22 though so his shoulder is still fresh!

you miss that little ritmo don't you nick!

Why buy it then? Skim can be messy at first you just have to work a system out

I don't know, think your asking the wrong bloke!lol

Whats your system curry? Do you still use multi/board finish or just spray?

Iv ordered 240v, I'm getting well impatient! Got a hardwall n skim job next week 4meter high and 23mtr long external to render and the ritmo is still in the Germans hands!

I am spraying Granicem this week at only 10mm thick. I am going to change the R&S for a 4-3 (I think) that is 15ltrs a min compared to 21ltrs with the 6-3. This particular job is fiddly and I think the 6-3 will be too fast for only 10mm.

Most of my jobs are remedial so a base coat required. Granicem is only 10mm scraped back to 7mm so perhaps a Ritmo 240v might be better suited to my needs. It is a bit of a ball ache shifting nearly 1/2 a ton of Monojet and genny.

My worry at only 7mm thick is the stress patches need to be well tight to avoid coming to the surface. I think I will go for more like 9mm scraped back next time to be safe.

I'm telling you, just Plugging a machine in that's tiny and it does the job of the bigger machines is bliss. It's perfect for remedial work.

hes 22??

i was spraying monocouche,OCR and gypsum plaster with my ritmo L today through the standard gun had to mix the plaster in a bucket first and turn the speed right down but it went through no worries will float and set the whole house with the pump now just follow the labourer and trowel it up awesome bit of kit!

well tbh i added cream of tater to slow it down but had read a post on here saying the R/S wouldn't mix plaster properly that it comes out lumpy but ill try it today and see what happens

it works well and we are getting more on and still getting the same m2 out of a bag of plaster but it is messy and a bit of a hassle having to mix it first if i start plastering more ill look at getting the proper gun and R/S
