Mono straight edge

Hi guys, saw this guy on YouTube use a straight edge on mono before he used the float to finish off, any one know what it was and where can you get one, was it segregated edge or what?

Whats a b I bar and a u I bar ? are these the same as an I section / bar ?

It just pushes/cuts the top off it, get on it a bit sooner than you would if you were just using a scraper, then go over with a scraper.
