Hi just had k rend done at the front of my property and the guy said he was a expert , wanted to see if it was any good?

Looks like a quality job. Black windows are a nightmare to keep clean. Did you use a stop bead against the frame?

Thanks mate! Yeah I used stop beads against the windows just to prevent any cracking from the windows moving slightly. I used stop beads up against the brick too. The render is over cement board.

What type of mono did you use and how thick did you go mate?

K1 white with hp12 base coat over 12mm render carrier boards. Cut 100mm slivers of mesh and double meshed the joints in the board then went over whole area with mesh . I went with 10mm beads so I put a really tight scratch coat on with the mesh, I would say around 3-4mm and then k1 white on top. K rend don’t recommend using the k1 over render boards, they said to use the thin coat due to the weight but they did say it should be ok if it’s only upto around 10sqm and you set your battens under the cement board 300mm apart which I did for extra strength.

I did think hpx after seeing it said on here a fair bit but spoke to k rend and the place I picked the k rend up from and they both said hp12 with cement board.
