Hi I recently had my walls plastered. Once it had dried out I applied my first coat of whitewash as you can see from the first picture I uploaded. Once this had dried it brought through a line that had been on the wall before it was plastered over, see other photo. Can anybody please tell me what the mark is and how I can get rid of it? Many thanks

Keep painting as chances are it will cover. If not. Warm! Important that.... In hot water.... a spray tin of zinsser bin and go around with a light spray coat. Don't go mad or it will run. It's a little thin so won't cover all the stain but will block any further stain bleed. Just a light spray coat. No brush marks....

a good oil based paint over it will hide that and stop the stain coming through... according to a painter friend of min :D

Looks like you painted too early before it's dried properly. Plus get a professional in as your painting looks shite
