Happy F*****g Mondays

Nobody forces anyone to fail all their exams, fail to get a trade, fail to start their own business and end up stacking shelves at Tescos you know.

.
You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

I don't know why I even bother to explain it on here. Yes your right, fk them, what right do they have to a decent standard of living then you and me even though they work 6/7 days a week to make someone rich. We deserve the money more as we have a bit more intelligence. Don't know what I was thinking mate sorry.

My point once again.....

With affordable accommodation, minimum wage is sufficient to live on.

Without it, all the money in the world won't get you any further on.

And YOU are part of the problem because YOU want your perks.

Yup. YOU.

YOU don't want to pay more tax.

YOU want free health care.

YOU want to live forever.

YOU want a pension and YOU don't want to wait longer than YOU hoped for it.

To satisfy this, PMTM needs to continue to keep the wheel spinning ever faster.

But YOU don't want your house to go down in value.

So, which of your perks would you like to sacrifice in order to make life a bit better for poor people?

How funny because guess who was one of the first on here complaining about the proposed increase in NI for the self employed? You guessed it @stuart23 lol

I presume that you boycot Tescos and McDonalds, only drink in freehold pubs, buy exclusively fair trade items like coffee and clothes, educate your children privately and take care of your own medical bills.

Correct?

Your still missing the point as usual

You want to hit the job creators lol, without these companies making money they cannot pay dividends to investors who then guess what? Stop investing and no new jobs get created. What a brilliant idea

Why am I boycotting them? What difference would that make? I'm talking about large companies filtering profits back through there workforce but as usual on here everything is getting twisted.

Fk me I've no problem with them making money it's when the gap between how much the top are making in them to the ones at the bottom that's the point. Anyway I'm out of this as I know how right wing is it on here, sorry to question yous

So you think the boss of tescos is a c**t, don't buy your beans off him.

I don't.

McDonalds are bastards to their staff? Don't eat their burgers.

I don't.

You want €3 chicken but you don't care about the farmer's profit.

I do. I buy from a family butchers.

Somebody should do something.

So long as it's not you.

You Sir, are a plastic socialist. I presume that you won't be petitioning the Prime Minister today, demanding a cap on construction workers rates, nor a pay rise for (your) labourers.

How the fk am I a plastic socialist? I've mentioned the gap between richest and poorest is getting worse and so far I should know about Venezuela, I shouldn't eat at McDonald's and I don't care about farmers profits? Just so I've got this clear in my head. And can I also ask how you know what I care and don't care about?

Because you said it's up to rich people to look after poor people.

And that's what socialists and Scousers say.

Where their argument falls down is when they support it. When they buy from mega corporations, gloat about the value of their house and don't want anything built in their back yard.

When they themselves engage in capitalism, in other words.

Diane Abbot for example. Make a packet, yourself and pretend to care about poor people by trying to pass the buck to (percieved) even richer people.

That way, it won't effect you.

For what it's worth, I agree that there are large companies out there like Deliveroo who treat their workers shamefully.

But nobody forces anybody to work for them. And anybody who does find themselves pedalling about with a box on their back needs to realise that it's up to them to buck their ideas up and not rich people to be a bit kinder.

I tell thee.

It was once my great pleasure to date an Argentinian lady who would have been growing up just after the Junta had been deposed, following them trying to help themselves to our islands.

A degree qualified mechanical engineer.

Did she sit about complaining that there was no work in Argentina? No she did not. She taught herself French and packed her bags.

When she found French wages disappointing, she taught herself English and headed for UK.

When she discovered that UK money was as bad as France, she went to university and studied finance.

When I knew her, by 38 and not having started off in the banking industry and not speaking her native language, she was head of savings at a major UK bank. In fact, the papers go to her on occasion to ask about things.

So, when I hear people complain that it's tough for a brother to earn a dime, I tend to think of her and be less than sympathetic unless they've put their backs into it like she did.

to be fair I kinder agree with that.. I like the john lewis business model but I also know that bigger the company the bigger the cash flow they need and also they need to pay for maternity leave sick pack and all sorts of other stuff...

I pay a chap $3 an hour to work for me on another project... I asked how much he wanted he told me I pay him... I would happily pay him more... he is worth 4x that but the simple fact is that is what he is willing to work for...

Money is not a motivator for work this has been proven time and time again... how many times growing up have you begged for that 25p pay rise to get it and for a few months be happy then a year passes and you need 25p more an hour... reality is as your pay increases your spend increases.

increasing the minimum wage would just drive up the price of everything else and then people would need more money :D

I could live on £250 a week no bother £7.20 x 40 hours minus a bit for NI if the wife was working 40 hours as well thats another £250 a week for arguments sake... £2k a month £24K a year...

I challenge anybody to write down every penny they spend each day and at the end of the week see what they waste on s**t like costa coffee... fags... booze... newspapers etc

I dont want to get into an argument though as I respect every bodies opinions

So it seems her only hiccup in all this was meeting you pmsl.

Yes but what about all them poor souls who cannot be bothered to educate themselves or want to work, what about these folk, isn't it only right that this lady you speek of now not only feeds and homes herself but also feed and home those lazy bastards as well ?
Be reasonable stevieo lol

You pay that chap $3 an hour poor old @flynnyman is on zero wages, a picture is painted here my friend lol. @stuart23 anything you would like to add to this shocking revelation?

Why people get wound up about zero hour contract? Being self employed is exactly just that, nothing guaranteed these days

Because zero hour contracts are OK if you're making enough to wear a few hiccups and you're expecting them.

It's a bit different when you, say, work at McD's on minimum wage and get sent home when it's not busy.

Or worse.

I don't see anything wrong with zero hours contracts, possibly they are being abused so possibly larger companies who employ more than 50 can only have a certain percentage of staff on them.

I know of someone who works part time at argos and just signed a contract for six hours per work, in sales environments flexibility is a needed.

Simple then isn't don't take the job on of its not suitable for you, I see it very black and white.
How can anyone expect full time employment on a zero hour contract? It's called zero hour contract for a reason

Zero wages and no contract but you don't hear me complaining, because @Danny told me years ago when this place starts making money I would be payed, so I wait patiently :)
