Just ordered a load of (pvcu) external bead for two rendering jobs starting spring, the company recomends fixing these with "Addhesive mortar".

Would i get away with using Dab ?????

i would have thought they meant butter them up with the gear youre using mate ......have seen lads using dabbing adhesive on externals not sure if it'll hold though ???

dont use dabbing if your using a specialist external render i.e wener, krend etc cos if the system fails and they see you have used that to stick your beads then they wont give you any back up and also board adhesive isnt strong enough just use the material you are using for the render to stick the beads and stick them the day before

if it's sand and cement finish then use that but add a bit of sbr just to give it a bit more strength, but if you using k-rend or weber etc then use that, it's not worth taking the risk of using something else,

cant find it grand the search keeps coming up with lemonade ;D.......have you got a link mate

Never ever!!!!!!!!!only fix exsternal out side with Galvanised nails or a 4:1 RENDER MIX.
The gypsum in the plaster will break down from damp conditions.

Yip
As already said to cover your arss, use what ever you are covering/rendering with to stick them as well as galvanised nails,
Gob done.

shouldn't use galv nails as they can still rust through as the galvanised coating can chip off as you hit them with the hammer, should always use stainless steel beads or the pvc 1s just stick the beads up

i`ve used neat cement to stick beads up for about 17 years.never had any come backs.ideal for levelling up beads when blockwork is fcuked.
