I'm looking at buying one can anyone recommend like a rd bike /mountain bike any pointers want one with good battery range lookin at paying around 2k thanks
Foĺow John's lead, loads of blokes have shelled out on top of the range Ebikes only to ride them a couple of times then gather dust.
Get a second hand one with good spec things to look for is no tell tale wear and tear such as;
No scratches, cable rub, chips or dents.
Tire wear, wheel trueness bearing play.
Handle bar/grips wear and tear.
Chain, sprockets, gears no wear and tear + positive gear shifting.
Seat and seat post wear.
And check the battery charges/ holds its fill.
Different modes work - sprint, echo etc.
Only go for one that a couple of years old max.
Check out bike reviews in MBR they'll explain entry level, mid level and top of the range comparisons.
It's awesome and has the added benefit of a throttle (which you're not supposed to use on the road wink wink)
I drop me tools off on the job when starting then just bike to work now.
Instead of really struggling up hills they take a bit of stress out of it.
Also they can help keep your heart rate at a consistent level on hilly journeys instead of all or nothing.
Some of us are cracking on you know...
