downlighters flush fit

just been to look at job iv got to start in next few weeks and they have had flush fit down lighters fitted

exactly the same as

but they have to be fitted in ceiling first as are imbedded in to ceiling and plastered in
there made out ceramic but there's no lip to finish

has anyone else plastered a ceiling that has had theses fitted if so how did you finish up to the light

I fitted some of these for a customer a couple of years ago the best way is get some easy fill around them then sand the easy fill down flush with the light.

Easi fill, DIY section, most we have skimmed over have a polystyrene cap which you pop out after the last trowel ,the often cause you to put a heavier coat on than normal ,possibly upto five mm ,speed skim is handy on these ceilings ,the flatter the ceiling is the better,

Tape over first then skim...peel off tape when done.

yer i went to look yesterday where the electrician had fitted them the holes were about 2 the size needed to be
and they sat proud of the plasterboard
