Pva mix at exactly 7 parts Pva to 13 parts water, then grit over the top.Hi all. Just wondering if thermalites (quinnlite blocks) should be primed or sealed before gypsum plasterboard adhesive compound is applied for dot+dab purposes?
Many thanks
You’ve changed your ways, I thought you always liked to go in dry!Foam
No water required, just straight on them.No need for pva or primer or G** colours of grit or sbr , make sure it’s clear of dust and dirt , a light sprinkle of water will suffice
That was a secret between us and @superspreadYou’ve changed your ways, I thought you always liked to go in dry!

The suction creates a chemical bond, the adhesive is designed for this to occur. Dusty old red bricks would be different, but not lovely new aircrete blocks.Going in dry is asking for trouble mate.
