Difference between these two Screws?

Got two screws here and wondered the difference between the two? One has a groove at the lower end of the shank... thought was just to help drill out as it screws so no need for pilot hole?
Any info Great!

No mate, the bigger screw that's got bits missing on the tip, sounds sexy eh ! That's a wood screw designed for pulling itself into wood , Turbo Gold or Bullet screws. The other one should be thrown out the nearest window mate (y)

When regular forum members are partaking in an 'in' joke it's got nothing to do with you, even on your thread.
I certainly do give out advice, I'm just choosy about who I give it to.

Andy lad from my point of view you've been no help at all, just smart comments but if it makes you feel good crack on man, the words you use 'partaking' You're the one who sounds a knob head! And if it's my thread it's more to do with me than you so give advice or f**k off, give me a bit of craic along with advice but don't just be a smart arse and expect no smart arse reply, what age are you? Keep your advice anyway pal done okay without you, you'll be good at your trade no doubts here but by f**k share a bit when someone's asking ...

That's how you see it, which is fair enough. But if you're sensible you'll realise that you might not be entirely right.
In other words @essexandy is a sound c**t, even if he has some strange proclivities.

That's your point and fair doos but from mine he's had no advice and that's cool but over and over you tend to remember someone and think 'c**t', even before I read the comments so don't expect me to praise him, Again he's no doubt class at his trade and I respect it but if I was in his shoes like I've said give me the wydo comments but some advice along with it would be nice, I won't defend a helmet again in my eyes, Just canny do it
