damp brick protection

what you guys doing to tape up brick plinths when rendering... ?

at moment bricks are damp in this weather and cant get anything to stick to it and need to top it.


any ideas?

Tape some sheeting above it day before to keep the dew off it for the morning after.

Bead of silicone and thin cordex profile , don't squash it too much









Haven't tried it lol
Test the silicone comes off clean

Spray with contact adhesive before you tape, or the yellow kip tape from pft Wales but is expensive, contact adhesive best cheapest alternative

I thought on some stone it may peel off without a trace and a discreet test would show if suitable , might test for myself but would of been great to hear of your first hand experience lol

can see it now.

here mr builder im done but a slug has seemed to of crawelled all around plinth and left a string of spunk behind him

No it's fine Pull a length of tape and spray the tape and stick

Use a heat gun to force dry the bricks. Will stick well when the brick is slightly warm.
