hi possums.......any ideas what causes this..render on blockwork

If it sounds hollow when you tap it could be from frost,or else if done in hot weather not wet down enough before the finish coat went on.As bobby said could be the mix is too strong either.

For me too strong a mix. But funny it's going in just vertical lines. What's beneath it.
