Wondering wat do use guys use for speeding up setting of skim, we have used a handful of cement for 20 odd years but recently painters have decided that cement makes it harder to paint so trying to find an alternative if anyone can help id appreciate it thanks

Cheers bubbles. No **** painter shifting blame to us an getting away with it. Tepid water may work for a small setting but we could have mayb 6/7 plasterers at any one time so thats alot of warm water

Yeah I no they cant tell but hes told contractor its making I hard to paint and he seems happy enough to ban it when its actually his rubbish paint and one coating thats prob. So trying to find away round it for now

Na there is only a slight difference between the two appart from price because the white is used for more decorative stuff.

Aye we tried hiding it on forman in an old bonding bag but he caught on last week lol. Will try dirty water when get back to work next week cheers

yeah just keep the sludge from the bottom of the dirty water bucket and add a couple of scoops depending on how quick you want it to go off usually save some of this for little patch jobs then just knock up onto of the sludge in and out in 20 mins haha
