I need two walls fitting with insulated plasterboard Gyproc ThermaLine 40mm dot & dabbed etc then skimmed after; and also the ceiling doing. I've fitted gyproc soundblock to the ceiling. Ideally I would like the edges against the wall filled before it is skimmed to try and reduce noise transfer from the flat upstairs. The two walls I would like insulated plasterboard fitted to & then skimmed are the main square wall on the left up to the pillar, and the wall with the window in (ie all round the window). The reason is because the room is cold, it has 12 inch thick solid brick walls house built approx 1905. The reason for not doing the others is because the wall to the right of the window is mostly chimney breast so not worth doing. I know it's not a perfect solution but it's what I want, as I've also just fitted a second rad so the room will be ok with this. Here are some pics so you can gauge the size and job.
