Bonding and skim same day

If i bond out a wall and want to skim it the same day how do I know when the bonding is ready to be skimmed on?

when we float with bonding and an hour after it floats up or less and its fine to skim, for hardwall, we would bang on till one and then fall back and skim it

Personally I would put a small handful of cement in the bonding coat and float as usual. This is a good tip to use in winter when everything takes soooo long to firm up

it all depends on the backing that you are floating with bonding.
