Bauwer light and finish

Hi lads. Got a sandstone house to do in bauwer.
Customer has specced 60mm on external walls and 40mm on internal.

What's best to use as guides as heard best to use these?

Customer is wanting it finished with the bauwer finish with mesh embedded but heard it doesnt leave a nice finish and you cannot play with it.

Any advice of lads that's used it be grateful.
