Has anyone used a Strata plastering machine for renders.Just looking for feedback as i made the commitment and starting job next week.

I have seen a lot of jobs that before they are plastered they have been completely rasped the EPS boards surface.I was trying to figure out why as it is easier to keep the boards straight eliminated extra work,dirt,waste and uneven background.Is this the norm or am i missing something.

Why is cavity compared to EWI as an equal alternative when no none can monitor it and prove wether it has filled the complete cavity and all of a sudden cavity companies are claiming they are specialist in EWI with no plastering experience so they are training their operitives to spread.Yet...

We have experience a shortage of plasterers in Ireland to carry out EWI, as companies who have no plastereing background such as plumbers,so called builders,carpenters and QS, resulting in terrible workmanship giving the trade and EWI industry a bad name.I can see this happening in the UK...
