Beleive it or not this was previously covered by lining paper and structural wood chip.
How would you go about leveling this off considering its different width/depth top to bottom?
It's sagged, crumbling and generally spanked. The room is clear and in need of rewire too.
Some say overboard some say rip it down. Mess isn't an issue.
What would you do if it was your house
All of the other rooms were proper done in so will be removed and boarded over. Annoyingly this ceiling appears to be in fairly good condition but is covered in crud left over.
Normally people say over board but would a skim sort this out?

Just been quoted 7k to get my house done. Figured I can either balls up a wall, book myself onto a week course for a few hundred and save some cash or... Pay one of you to do it and learn the basics whilst at it.
