i know this may sound mad but some plastics are better suited ????? ive only ever used 1 a couple of times so im no expert but my mate only uses his on 2nd coat wen trowelling off ?????
i was looking in2 this and a lad i use to ;Ddo damp proofing for me says u dont need to be registerd to do it or be trained
the only thing u need is a licence to use certain chemicals that they use to inject with wich is hard to get aparently
but u can hire the injectin kits with chems from...
i know this will be wrong but y not put the pattern in the plaster wen u skimmed it ive seen a few plasterers do it so they didnt av to flatten down ????? :-?
thts wat they asked for nicksey but wen u try explaining to customers wat best they dont like to listen id prefer to d&d if i could

the job is to knock off 48m2 of old plaster to walls a new ceailing pulling old one down
then rebonding 48m2 of wall skimming beading etc etc...
i was asked to work there abt 3yre ago they said high viz aint compulsery but a bullet proof vest was coz a lot o workers dont get killed by direct shots it is the bullets tht bounce of the walls tht kill ya well if the case is thr still work going im gunna av a look in2 it

i did an estimate yesterday nt phoned back skim a kitchen ceiling part of it wanted pulling down and reboarding i gave im a price and told me i was way out e was expecting 2 pay £75 2 av i done i laughed smiled and left mmmmm

puzzles me if you set the depth propererly they dont leave the screws out ???
ive never had a problem but if yre a proper boarder then the one thing u look after is the one cumin behind (no pun intended) so they shud check the screws
but there again alot now bang em up 2 earn the wedge ?????? :-/
one more thing the senco does up2 55mm and so does the hilti but if your nt willing to pay good money wat do u expect m8
if u do a lot o boarding then they will pay 4 them selves in time
i use a 18v cordless senco wich i paid abt £300 for and i use a 110v hilti tht i got 4 £200 the makita nt bad either
senco were the original collated guns until hilti bought theres out >:( :-/ ;D
there great if u can use one i make my own i use a no exit sign cut down and mold an handle to it of an old plastic trowel there superb especialy if skimmin over boards tht av been put up by sum1 else if there un even it moves around the boards an flattens great ;)
im doing a 42 apartment new build now and there as 2 be a 15mm breather space at bottom and there can be no more thn a 3mm gap around socketts 4 for sound and air :o
