Thanks for the replys, first day back on the job today, hit a ceiling which was 9.5 so thought they would be a different batch, did the same so I've double pva-d tomorrow's hits! Defo the boards tho and nothing else untoward as had to finish boarding a small section and that was still soaking...

so house has all been dry-lined for me, and the boards are just drying the plaster out super fast. normally id do a decent sized hit with no problems but by the time id laid on the top of just a small wall, id come back to lay on...
Hi all, need some advise on best method of installing the shadow gap beads, they will be used in place of skirting boards and I will be sticking the boards to block work and skimming. Thanks in advanceeeee
thanks airborne!! i was thinking of boarding the wall like you say and cutting out ect, with some carefull marking out this could be the way i go about it. oh and top job in the pics :)
i know what your saying man :) im just asking different ways of doing it, i know im capable if pointed in the right direction, im the first to admit im no plasterer, yeah i can skim but ive not done much work with floating and setting, all my work has been dot and dab and fixing to studwork...
righty ho so, i could hardwall it using a arch render bead ( forgive me if thats not what there called :) ) and then fix another thin coat arch bead over the top and skim....
hi all!! i pricing a job at the mo and wondered the best way of going about plastering around a arch window reveal. the wall is currently a bare brick wall with a arched window in, i was going to just hardwall the wall including the reveal with no beads and then nail a thin coat plastic arch...
