Got a job which is specified plaster, the background is porotherm blocks. Which plaster do you think I should be using, I've already decided but just wanna see if the majority agree or not.

Is it just me or are people who use sponges on their finish coat plasters the roughest of the rough and give us genuine time served, quality crafts men a bad name? to me it just smacks of bad practice and low skill levels.

Got a garage to render this weekend, Dense concrete blocks, what strength mixes should i use? i generally go 8:1 scratch coat, 6:1 top coat, not sure if thats right but thats what the old bloke I used to lab for told me to do.

Got a smooth concrete soffit to line, if I put bond it on first which would be best, just 2 coat over the top with bonding and multi or dab and skim?

bloody apprentice nearly bought naff plaster today, asked him to go get a bag of board finish and he came back with naff board finish, he got mixed up cause there bag was green too like bg board finish.
