Evening lads

Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience with these trowels. I'm after a 16" carbon. I'm f*cking fuming cos I can't find my MT anywhere so looking for a replacement. I know it's a "get what you pay for" kind of thing but just wondering how long these ragni last and if the high lift handle is the better option.

Thanks

Is it a trowel or floor scraper your after because if it’s a floor scraper buy the Ragni .MT are top of the pile when it comes to trowels

Ragni last

They take abuse and last

If you can find one you like with the right size and steel.

I've got and have had ALL brands.

Last one I used had the jap stainless steel, which was nice

Good value trowel.

I used to use Ragni trowels all the time and bloody good they were as well. I only stopped when sand and cement floating stopped and I could wear a trowel in quickly enough.
In fact I still use a Ragni concreting trowel for all my screeding and they literally last years and years.

I've had the Ragni midget trowel for donkeys years now, made a few modifications to it after receiving a Ox midget as a gift.
It's carbon steel with just the right amount of flex in it. Never liked the position of the original handle as it kept catching in the tight spaces 6.5 x 3" now.

Yeah I understand mt are the best mate I'm guttered mine has gone missing. Just don't want to pay 60-70£ for a trowel I don't use regularly. Thats why I wanted people's opinion on the ragni

Nice one. I'll get one and give it a go. Looks like they only do the 16" 4"wide was hoping atleast 4.75 as I think that's the perfect amount of flex but beggars can't be choosers I can't afford to spend 60-70£ on a mt at the minute, not for the amount of use it'll get anyway......

They definitely do make 4.75" wide trowels. The concrete trowels I use for screeding are narrower.

This is the one I have

As you'll find on another thread (when they came out)

The jap stainless acted a lot like carbon for me, doesn't 'tamp' material like most stainless do.

Yeah that's the one that keeps coming up. I did originally want a carbon but I think the 4" is a bit to short for me. Thanks

I just had to replace my 11 year old Mt gold permashape, bought the same one again, its the best trowel on the market. It takes time to break it in but once there nothing beats it

I wish I still had my mt permashape 16" thing is I've lost it and I'm not buying another one at that price in the hope it turns up again. That's why I was thinking of a ragni. Must be worth a go at the price
