Thanks for the info........logburner company have said Its Ok to plasterboard and skim.......I'm not convinced.....
End of the day if it cracks the customer needs to take it up with the company ......

the clearance all around the burner in 300mm
I'm sure a Finishing plaster will crack

3 years ago there was over 300 plasterers in my local Yellow pages
This year Sept 10/11 there was only 32
We decided to go in it and have had 4 maybe 5 calls.......Thats with just 32 plasterers in
Complete waste of time......Stay clear is my advice
So once I have given the 2nd coat a tidy with the Steel, I use the plastic from then on
Also is it just a cross or can you go up and down with the plastic?
And I imagine it knocks a few minutes off the hit ?

Who's the forum expert on the s*p*r*lex Plastic Trowels then?
Read lots about them but there seems to be differing opinions on when/how to use them.
These very small scratches they leave.......Is that not the case when Wet n Dry is used...
