Can i PVA over Plas Prime

Im sorry to disagree Dannymac but if you try using this on say a wall with half painted half porus surface it does nothing to stop the suction on the porus sections. Ive used about 30 tubs of it in the last few months and ive been in contact with cementone who advised me themselves that you need...

Can i PVA over Plas Prime

The cementone Plaster prime is a primer used for non suction surfaces i.e painted walls/ceilings. Ive used this alot latley as i get it for a good price and it is the dogs nuts when used right. If you have suction on the original walls/ceiling then good luck as it doesnt kill the suction and it...

    just a reminder

I think alot of the problem is there are alot of so called plasterers that dont take pride in their work themselves, so why should other trades show them respect? Unfortunatly this has ment that the respect for all plasterers is slowly being lost. Ive been plastering for nearly 12years with 7...

    Plasprime problem

Ive used this stuff quite alot latley! It doesnt control suction on porus backgrounds just give it a quick pva first. On reskims over painted surface though this stuff is the nuts it needs to be though as i get it for £21 +vat from TP`s which is a bit more expensive than pva

    floating

Im always in the opinion that the bigger the feather edge you can use the better, the straighter the wall the easier to float!

    jammed solid

Mine wasnt old but had alot of use and i discovered that one of the springs had gottn lazy.

    jammed solid

What i do on my makita if the screw goes into the metal end is remove the rest of the strip, then switch the gun into reverse push the gun against the wall and it winds the screw out. I found mine used to jam up alot before but i changed the sprung door like gide at the end of the shaft.

    patches

It depends what decorators are on site, allways hardwall and most of the time skim but if in a rush to paint the decorators prefer to easyfill so they can paint quicker!

    painting as a sideline

The problem is that you can be the best spread going, but if the painter is s**t then your work looks crap, and my painting is worse than s**t!!! so i stay away from it !!! Like FreeD said a good painter charges about the same as most spreads, i only have one painter who i use/pass number out as...
