just for fun......... why is it that the sand and cement mix is mixed at ratios of 4:1.5:1 or 6:1? how do you find the correct ratio? old school plasterers should know the answer plus nvq 3 boys or just clever dicks!!

cant have waterproofer and lime in the same mix, the lime kills the waterproofer, i presume that he will put waterproofer admixture in the first coat,then lime in the top coat.that'll work

tight coat of watered down pva helps prevent blistering on finish coat,doesnt affect setting time :-\

to prevent blistering,try giving the bonding coat a pissy coat of pva,then skim.

buy some cheap masking tape 25mm wide, and apply to the face side of door frames(neatly) skim walls, pull of tape when set hard,simples ;D ;D
